Angie Montagnese was only 43 years old when she had her stroke, surprising her doctors who initially said that she was too young to have a stroke. Joining the Peel After Stroke Support Group not only gave her the opportunity to educate others about stroke prevention, but also connected her with other survivors and caregivers that she considers to be her “new family.”
