District stroke lead Vanessa Bailey says that the "best chance for recovery from a stroke is based on one thing: time."
 
300 people in the Brant, Norfolk, and Haldimand counties went to the ER last year with a suspecte stroke, but only 144 people arrived at the ER in time to qualify for the most advanced treatments. Time is of the essence when it comes to a stroke, and Brantford General Hospital hopes to increase the number who qualify by incorporating new software into their care routines.
