Windsor Stroke Survivor Helps Others in Hospital Visitation Program

Susan Robertson uses her experience in stroke recovery to support new survivors with Peers Fostering Hope.

This hospital visitation program just launched in Windsor, although it's been operating across Ontario since 2013. While doctors and professionals take care of your physical health, recovery can be confusing and lonely, that's where Peers comes in.

Stroke survivors visit new survivors in hospital to share their story and offer the support of someone who has been through the same process.

Interested in learning more about the program? Read Susan’s story from The London Free Press and call the After Stroke Warmline at 1-888-540-6666 to get connected to the closest Peers Fostering Hope program near you.
