Conductive Education

​​​​​​​​​Conductive Education® (CE) is an educational approach to rehabilitation for people with neuromotor disabilities that focuses on promoting independence, functional skills and mobility. Participants are taught new strategies and techniques to cope with and manage their disabilities while continuing to build on current skills. 

The classes are run by conductors who received certification through the National  Institute of Conductive Education and the Peto Institute​Currently classes are offered in Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax and Toronto.

ST​EP 1 - APPLICANT QUESTIONAIRE
Prior to registration, the Conductive Education® Program asks each participant to complete an initial applicant questionaire. 

ST​EP 2 - 1 hour CONSULTATION 
A CE Conductor will contact you to arrange a 1 hr consultation. Consultations are $50 and a full report with our recommendations will be provided. This consultation allows the conductor to assess participant's initial movements and provide specific recommendations tailored to each of their individual needs. The consultation will also determine whether or not CE is beneficial for YOU and YOUR recovery. ​​

ST​EP 3 - RECOMMENDATION
Within 72 hours of the consultation, you will be contacted by a member of the CE team with recommendations, and if the program is able to meet your needs. You will then be invited to register for the upcoming classes. 

ST​EP 4 - REGISTRATION
Each participant is asked to complete and send in the registration form for their preferred CE location.

ST​EP 5 - CONFIRMATION
Once we have received your application and the registration deadline has been reached, we will contact you to confirm your place in the class.
