Ontario One-Day Trips 

For Ontario residents, March of Dimes Canada offers one-day trips to art galleries, museums, casinos, sporting  events, and more all within Southern Ontario. All destinations are wheelchair accessible. Join us in exploring what Ontario has to offer.

Accessible Travel Services

Cruise BoatMarch of Dimes offers accessible group vacations ranging from winter weekends to weeklong summer cruises. This program helps individuals with physical disabilities overcome barriers to recreational opportunities by organizing a variety of trips that are fully accessible. Previously, Accessible Travel Services have organized vacations to Mexico, Grand Cayman, Florida and more. Join us for the priceless experience of being in a fun, accessible and supportive environment surrounded by new friends.  ​

Summer Recreation Program

Summer Recreation Program

Each year, March of Dimes Canada hosts week-long recreation and holiday programs. This year this summer program will run in Geneva Park, Orillia, Ontario between June 24th to August 17th.

The program includes​ meals and accommodation​ for six days and five nights, equipment/activities, and attendant services. Daily activities include archery, rock climbing, trail walks, bonfires, sports activities and more. ​

Be friending Developing friendships can be difficult for people with disabilities, who may feel lonely and isolated due to limited social interactions. March of Dimes Canada’s BeFriending® program matches screened Friendship Volunteers with local adults with disabilities, promoting new friendships.

Fit for Function

The YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford, Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University have partnered to improve the health of our community. This community-based exercise and educational program is designed for stroke survivors and their caregivers to gain confidence in managing the challenges of living with stroke. PERK Activities - Creative and Social Connections 

PERK is a program that aims to help stroke survivors stay mentally sharp while enjoying group camaraderie. It uses imagination, concentration, memory, brainstorming and social interaction. It is a holistic program comprised of 14 diverse activity domains, designed to work together to engage and develop people in stroke recovery physically, emotionally, mentally and socially.
