Home and Vehicle Modification Programs

Barriers in the built environment can make daily tasks challenging for people who use mobility devices, or have a condition that impacts their mobility. Home and vehicle modifications can make your home, your car, and your life more accessible.

On this page you will find information on home and/or vehicle modification programs offered across Canada.

MODC's primary program is the Home and Vehicle Modification® Program (HVMP) for Ontario residents – This Government of Ontario program, administered by MODC, provides financial aid for eligible individuals to provide home and vehicle modifications, enabling people to continue to live accessible, independent lives in their homes, avoid job loss, and participate within their communities. We also list alternative national and provincial home and/or vehicle modification programs offered across Canada that are not affiliated with MODC but can be used as additional resources. Click here to learn more.
